PASS —
Assure Your PPE’s
Safety Performance
The cost-effective way to keep your
gear safer, longer
PASS is a PPE service program designed to keep your new gear performing at optimum safety levels over a five-year period. In addition to knowing what to expect out of your gear, you’ll also know what to expect for your budget. With PASS, your department gets annual maintenance service at a fixed rate for up to five years and it covers any brand of PPE.
Services include
- Advanced Cleaning
- Advanced Inspection
- Complete Liner Inspection (for gear three years or older)
- All repairs*, including moisture barrier replacement
How it works
- Buy the PASS Program from Lion TotalCare® or an authorized dealer.
- Register your garments through an easy-to-use form downloaded from www.liontotalcare.com/PASS. This must be done within 30 days of receiving gear and before it is issued to personnel.
- When service is needed, contact Lion TotalCare®.
- Ship your gear to your designated Lion TotalCare® Center at no cost.
- Services will be rendered at no charge.
- All services are performed compliant to NFPA 1851 and will include Advanced Cleaning, Advanced Inspection, Complete Liner Inspection (for garments three years or older) and all repairs**, including moisture barrier replacements. How long will it take? Typically gear is cleaned and returned within 10 working days. The timeframe can vary depending on the extent of repair services required.
What do we wear while services are being performed?
For the cost of cleaning, Lion TotalCare’s Rotational Gear Program provides loaner gear to the department while we are servicing the gear. Freight will be additional for transferring the rotational gear to and from our center to the department.
How much does the program cost?
$195.00 per set and $97.50 per garment annually is the current retail list price. Prices are set for the length of a contract. A five-year contract is the most cost effective. Ground freight within the continental U.S. is included in the cost. In the event that gear is destroyed in a catastrophic incident, the PASS certificate is transferable to the replacement gear.
